COMPANY

This well established farm and agriculture machinery business are on the lookout for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team as a service technician. You will be responsible for servicing and testing tractors, machinery and outdoor power equipment in the workshop as well field service work within the Leongatha/Gippsland region.

CANDIDATE

The successful candidates will have one or more of the following attributes:

• Automotive or Plant mechanical repair trade certificate (or currently completing their apprenticeship within the Agriculture industry)
• Forklift licence preferred
• 5 years mechanical (or similiar exp) work experience
• VIC drivers licence (field service work will be required)
• Solid understanding of agricultural machinery.
• New Holland Machinery Experience will be highly regarded

POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be Responsible for the following tasks:

• Test operate tractors, machinery and small horespower cultivation equipment to ensure the most up to date and effective diagnostic procedures are utilised at all times.
• Field Service Work
• Perform pre-delivery inspections to machinery equipment
• Carry out and perform servicing and repairs to machinery
• Carry out and perform light fabrication/welding duties of machinery (if required)
• Ensure correct selection of machinery or component to repair as listed on the repair order and to ensure safety guarding (PTO shafts, etc) on all machines
  
  In order to be successful for this role you will have great communications skills, be self motivated, thrive in challenging situations and comfortable with working autonomously as well as in a team.
