The main focus of the role will be to lead and develop a team of Account Executives in maintaining and growing key retail relationships, optimizing their performance to ensure profit and revenue objectives are met. This is a visible and important position within the business and you will be tasked with providing insights into the landscape of the market, competitor knowledge, current trends and strategic thinking on how to maximise sales of product through various channels and via various retail marketing programs.
Due to the seniority of the role, the preferred candidate will have extensive experience managing tech-focussed sales teams in the retail sector and ideally with a device or digital product. You will be a proven leader with the depth and charisma to drive sales and marketing strategy and effectively influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Furthermore, to be considered for interview the candidate will have the following experience and skill-sets:
Tertiary-qualified in business or commercial discipline
Minimum of 5 yrs experience in retail/tech space in a management capacity
Strong knowledge of retail and technology business models
Proven ability to lead a team to optimal performance
Exceptional communication, organisational & interpersonal skills at all levels
