A unique role as a Strategic Category Manager is required for a market leading organisation based in Sydney CBD. This role will require the development of strategies across the property division to develop and implement innovative sourcing solutions that deliver reliable, quality, cost competitive operational outcomes;
In this role you will:
- Play a key role in delivery of number of sourcing projects, managing and driving projects to achieve tangible outcomes and improved supplier arrangements;
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
- Identify cost saving initiatives and improvement opportunities
- End to end management of the sourcing and negotiation processes from requirements gathering through to establishment of preferred supplier(s)
- Develop and negotiate contracts agreements for the supply of a broad range of services across the property division
- Ensure that new and existing contracts are structured to achieve optimum contract performance through financial analysis and continuous assessment of their commercial relevance
The successful candidate will have:
- A strategic and innovative approach to sourcing with a proven track record in successful management and delivery of large / complex sourcing activities
- Strong Commercial acumen and effective influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous sourcing projects
- Ability to manage effective, mutually beneficial business relationships
- Strong Communication and presentation skills
- High levels of initiative and drive
- Two direct reports
