Melbourne Health is currently seeking an outstanding health and safety professional to join their senior management team as the Director of Safety Health & Wellbeing. Reporting to the Executive Director - Human Resources & Workplace Development, the position of Director - Safety Health & Wellbeing is instrumental in providing strategic leadership to Melbourne Health in the development and implementation of the full range of occupational health, safety and wellbeing strategies and programs. To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate the following: - Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to mentor and foster the ongoing development of the health and safety team
- Experience in complex, multi-site and multidisciplinary organisations within occupational health, safety and wellbeing
- Superior strategic focus aimed at developing and implementing initiatives to improve health, safety and workers compensation performance
- Incomparable relationship building capability and ability to engage and deliver health and safety advice to stakeholders at all levels
- Technical credibility through outstanding workers compensation and safety experience
- Experience in the public sector or health administration will be well regarded.
